10+2 TECHNICAL ENTRY SCHEME : DETAILS
Note 1. Candidates must undertake not to marry until they complete their full training. A candidate, who marries subsequent to the date of his application, though successful, will not be selected for training. A candidate who marries during training shall be discharged and will be liable to refund all expenditure incurred on him by the government.
Note 1. Candidates should note that only the date of birth as recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary School Examination or an equivalent certificate will be accepted. No other document relating to age will be accepted.
Note 2. Candidates should also note that once a date of birth has been claimed by them and entered in the records, no change will be allowed subsequently on any ground whatsoever.
Note: The proceedings of the Medical Board are confidential and will not be divulged to anyone. The Directorate General of Recruiting has no role to play in any Medical Boards and procedures advised by the Competent medical authorities will be strictly adhered to.
5. Seniority. They will be granted seniority on overall order of merit of the three technical institutes combined i.e. CME,MCTE,MCEME and in case the date of commissioning coincides with that of IMA, Dehradun, they will be placed en-block junior to IMA (NDA/ ACC / DE Course ) but above TGC / UES course.
6. Training. Total training will be of 5 years. Details are as under:
(a) Basic Military Training. 1 year (Officer Training Academy Gaya).
(b) Technical Training. (i) Phase-I (Pre Commission Training): 3 Years (CME Pune or MCTE Mhow or MCEME Secunderabad), (ii) Phase-II (Post Commission Training): 1 year at CME Pune or MCTE Mhow or MCEME Secunderabad.
(c) Award of Degree. The candidates will be awarded an Engineering degree after successful completion of the final examination. No ante date will be admissible to candidates on account of this Engineering degree. During the last two semesters, the officers will be permitted only one relegation on academic grounds. This relegation will be within the maximum of two relegations permitted on academic grounds in the entire Engineering degree (8 semesters) in accordance with JNU Ordinance. Any further relegation of the officer on academic grounds will lead to the termination of his commission.
Note. Candidates must understand that in case of final selection, their appointment will be provisional subject to satisfactory verification of antecedents by concerned civil/police/education authorities, as applicable.
7. Cost of Training. ₹8785/- per week (or as notified from time to time) for the period of candidate’s stay at the Officers Training Academy, Gaya/Cadet Training Wing.) The cost of training is borne by State; will be recovered from candidates withdrawing for personal reasons.

(c) Military Service Pay (MSP). MSP to the officers from the rank of Lt to Brig ₹ 15,500/- p.m fixed.
(d) Fixed Stipend for Cadet Trainng. The gentlemen cadets will be given a stipend of ₹ 56,100/-p.m.* as is admissible to NDA cadets on completion of 3 years of training. On completion of 4 Years of training, they will be commissioned in the rank of Lt and entitled to pay as admissible to the rank.
* On successful commissioning, the pay in the pay matrix of the Officer commissioned shall be fixed in the first Cell of Level 10 and the period of training shall not be treated as commissioned service and arrears on account of admissible allowances, as applicable, for the training period shall be paid to cadets.
(ii) Flying Allowance. The Army Aviators (Pilots) serving in the Army Aviation Corps are entitled to flying allowance as under :- Lieutenant and above |

Note.
(i)
Higher Tpt Cities (UA). Hyderabad, Patna, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Surat,
Bengaluru, Kochi, Kozhikode, Indore, Greater Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Jaipur,
Chennai, Coimbatore, Ghaziabad, Kanpur, Lucknow, Kolkata.
(ii) The allowance shall not be admissible to those service personnel who have been provided with the facility of Government transport.
(iii) Officers in Pay Level 14 and above, who are entitled to use an official car, will have the option to avail official car facility or to draw the TPTA at the rate of ₹15,750+DA thereon.
(iv) The allowance will not be admissible for the calendar month(s) wholly covered by leave.
(v) Physically disabled service personnel will continue to be paid at double rate, subject to a minimum of ₹2,250+DA.
(n) Children Education Allowance. ₹2250/- per month per child for two eldest surviving only. CEA is admissible from Nursery to 12th Classes.
(i) Reimbursement should be done just once a year, after completion of the financial year (which for most schools coincides with the Academic year).
(ii) Certificate from the head of the institution where the ward of government employee studies should be sufficient for this purpose. The certificate should confirm that child studied in the school during the previous academic year.
(iii) Please note that pay & allowances and rules/provision thereof are subject to revision from time to time.
Note. In the case of allowances specific to Defence Forces, the rates of these allowances would be enhanced by 25% automatically each time the Dearness Allowance payable on the revised pay band goes up by 50% (GoI letter No A-27012/02/2017-Estt.(AL) dt 16 Aug 2017).
(o)
Hostel Subsidy. ₹6750/- per month per
child for two eldest surviving children only. Hostel Subsidy is admissible from
Nursery to 12th Class.
(p) Leave. Leave will be admissible in accordance with the rules in force from time to time.
9. On being commissioned, all officers will be guided by the terms and conditions as given out by the Army Group Insurance Scheme and as amended from time to time.
(a) Army Group Insurance Fund Provides insurance cover of ₹15 lakh on payment of one-time non-refundable premium of ₹7200/- by cadets from the date of joining for pre-commission training i.e for 3 years. If a cadet is relegated an additional premium of ₹1355/- per relegated term will be paid. For those who are invalidated out by IMB on account of disability and not entitled to any pension will be provided ₹15 Lakhs for 100 percent disability. This will be proportionately reduced to ₹3 lakhs for 20 percent disability. However, for less than 20 percent disability, only an Ex-Gratia Grant of ₹50,000/- for the first two years of training and ₹1 lakh during the 3rd year of training will be paid. Disability due to alcoholism, drug addiction, and diseases of pre-enrolment origin will not qualify for disability benefit and Ex-Gratia Grant. In addition, a Gentleman Cadet withdrawn on disciplinary grounds, expelled as an undesirable, or leaving the Academy voluntarily will also not be eligible for disability benefits and Ex-Gratia. There is no saving component under the scheme.
10. How to Apply. The application will only be accepted online. To do so the candidate needs to click on the ‘online application’ button on the website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in
(a) Candidates must enter their particulars in the online application. Terms and conditions linked to the form must be read, prior to submitting the form.
(b) A candidate is permitted to make changes to data-filled incorrectly in the online application till the closing of the online applications. The candidate must ‘submit’ his application each time he opens his application for editing. No changes to the online application will be permitted thereafter and no representation in this regard will be entertained.
(c)
After successfully submitting the form, the candidate will receive a
confirmation in the form of a dialog box of having submitted the application.
Print out of the application with a Roll number will be available to the
candidate 30 mins after the closing of online applications. Candidates are
required to print two copies of the application with Roll Number generated
by the system. One copy of the print-out application duly self-attested by
the candidate will be carried to the selection center for the SSB interview. Following
documents will also be carried along with the Application Form:-
(i) Class 10th certificate and mark sheet in original showing DOB.
(ii) Class 12th certificate and mark sheet in original.
(iii) ID proof in original.
The second copy of the printout of the online application is to be retained by the candidate for his reference. There is no need to send any hard copy of the application printout to the Directorate General of Recruiting.
(d) Two self-attested photocopies of the certificates mentioned at ser (c) above will be submitted at the time of the SSB interview and originals will be returned after verification at the SSB itself.
(e) 20 copies of the self-attested PP size photograph will also be carried along with the Application Form.
(f) Candidates must submit only one application. Receipt of multiple applications from the same candidate will result in the cancellation of candidature. TO PREVENT REJECTION OF THE APPLICATION, THE CANDIDATES ARE ADVISED TO READ THE NOTIFICATION CAREFULLY TO AVOID MISTAKES BEFORE FILLING UP THE ONLINE APPLICATION.

Note 1. Any change in your postal address after submission of application must be communicated by post duly quoting your Roll No, name, and course opted for.
Note 2. In case, the candidate is employed he will inform where and also give an undertaking that he has informed the employer in writing that he is applying for a commission in the Army.
(a) The candidate needs to apply ‘online’ on Directorate General of Recruiting Website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. The application will be screened at the Directorate General of Recruiting, Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Army) and the candidate thereafter will be detailed for SSB.
(c) While filling up the application form,
candidates are required to indicate the exact PCM percentage of Class 12th up to two
decimals and are not to be rounded off. Any false entry of PCM percentage,
detected at any stage of the selection process will be outrightly rejected.
(d) Integrated Headquarters of Ministry of Defence (Army) reserves the right to shortlist applications and to fix the cut-off percentage of PCM marks without assigning any reason. No communication will be entertained on this account. All incomplete online applications will be rejected outright. No intimation will be given to the candidate in writing or verbally.
(e) Shortlisted candidates will be detailed to undergo SSB interview from Oct 2020 onwards.
(f) No compensation will be paid in respect of any injury sustained as a result of the test conducted at SSB.
(g) Candidate withdrawn from NDA, OTA, IMA, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy, or any service trg academy on disciplinary grounds is not eligible to apply.
(h) Final merit list will be displayed at the Directorate General of Recruiting website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in before induction for pre-commissioning training.
12. Selection Procedure. The selection procedure is as follows:-
(a) Shortlisting of Applications. Integrated HQ of MoD (Army) reserves the right to shortlist applications and to fix the cutoff percentage of marks without assigning any reason After shortlisting of candidates, the Centre allotment will be intimated to the candidate via their email. After allotment of the Selection Centre, firm SSB dates will be allotted to the candidates.
(b) Only shortlisted eligible candidates depending on the cutoff percentage will undergo SSB at one of the Selection Centres i.e, Allahabad (UP), Bhopal (MP), Bengaluru (Karnataka) or Kapurthala (Punjab) by Psychologist, Group Testing Officer, and Interviewing Officer. Call Up letter for SSB interview will be issued by respective Selection Centres on candidate’s registered e-mail ID and SMS only. Allotment of Selection Centre is at the discretion of Directorate General of Recruiting, Integrated Headquarters of MoD (Army), and NO request for changes are entertained in this regard.
(c) Candidates will be put through the two-stage selection procedure. Those who clear Stage I will go to Stage II. Those who fail in Stage I will be returned on the same day. The duration of the SSB interview is five days and details of the same are available at the official website of the Directorate General of Recruiting www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. This will be followed by a medical examination for the candidates who get recommended after Stage II.
(d) Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit, will be issued a Joining Letter for training in the order of merit, depending on the number of vacancies available, subject to meeting all eligibility criteria. In the eventuality of being recommended by SSB, the candidate should have no objection for undergoing a medical examination by a board of Male/Female doctors.
(e) Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit, will be issued joining letters for training in the order of merit, depending on the number of vacancies available.
(f) The finally selected candidates will execute all the Bonds/Certificates as prescribed for the Cadets of NDA entry under AI 53/78.
(g) Candidate will not have any objection in the event of final selection, on allotment of any Arm/Service in the interest of the organization.
Note 1. No claim or compensation will be made by the candidate if at any stage of selecting the candidate’s ineligibility is detected and candidature is canceled as a result thereof.
Note 2. The candidate will be debarred from future attempts and cancellation from the present course if at any stage of selection he is found to be indulging in any violation of local orders concerning discipline aspects.
Note 3. PROCEDURE FOR COMMON CANDIDATES: TES & NDA ENTRY
(a) The candidates who apply for the 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme (TES) and National Defence Academy (NDA & NA) parallel courses need to undergo a medical examination by a Board of Service Medical Officers for the entries recommended. 7
(b) Those candidates who are recommended for
TES prior to their NDA SSB will have to undergo medical for TES and NDA (AF and
Navy) separately.
(c) If only NDA Army is their preference
these TES candidates need not undergo NDA medical again. The NDA medical
examination will begin only after the candidate is declared FIT in TES
medicals.
(d) The candidates who are recommended in NDA
prior to SSB for TES need not undergo medical for TES separately. The Medical
Status for TES (10+2) will be the same as NDA (Army) medical examination. A
candidate declared UNFIT in NDA will be considered UNFIT for TES as well.
(e) If the candidate is found UNFIT/ UNFIT IN
ABSENTIA at any stage of medical examination in any entry i.e. TES or NDA &
NA parallel courses he will be declared UNFIT for both the entries and no
representation will be accepted thereafter.

14. Change of Interview Dates. No Request for change of SSB Interview date/center will be entertained to or replied to.
15. Entitlement for Travelling Allowance. Candidates appearing for SSB interview for the first time for a particular type of commission shall be entitled to AC III-tier to and fro railway fare or bus fare including reservation cum sleeper charges within Indian limits. Candidates who apply again for the same type of commission will not be entitled to traveling allowance on any subsequent occasion.
16. MERIT LIST. IT MUST BE NOTED THAT MERE
QUALIFYING AT THE SSB INTERVIEW DOES NOT CONFIRM FINAL SELECTION. MERIT WILL BE
PREPARED ON THE BASIS OF MARKS OBTAINED BY THE CANDIDATE AT THE SSB INTERVIEW.
HIGHER EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, PREVIOUS PERFORMANCES, NCC BACKGROUND ETC.
HAVE NO ROLE TO PLAY IN THE FINALIZATION OF THE MERIT LIST. JOINING LETTERS TO JOIN
PRE-COMMISSION TRAINING AT OTA, GAYA WILL ONLY BE ISSUED SUBJECT TO VACANCIES
AND MEDICAL FITNESS.
Note 1. On joining the Army, some personal restrictions in service will be imposed in accordance with Article 33 of the Constitution of India as promulgated in the Army Act and Army Rules from time to time.
Note 2. Any ambiguity/false information/concealment of information detected in the certificate/documents will result in cancellation of the candidature at any stage of selection and the candidate will be debarred from this course.
